About Me:

My name is Roger Ward, and I am a student at the COFC. Through my own personal experience with food insecurity, multiple classes at the COFC, and seeing others suffer, I have realized the importance of cheap and readily available food.

My Goal

The goal with this blog is to provide college students at the COFC with nutritious, cheap, and delicious recipes in an attempt to fight food insecurity on campus.

Food Insecurity

Food Insecurity is the consistent lack of food to have a healthy life because of your economic situation. More than 44 million individuals experience food insecurity in America. This can be caused by poverty, lack of housing, systemic racism, and many other reasons (provided by Feeding America). Food insecurity can also be prevalent on college campuses. According to edumed, roughly 40% of all college students have experienced food insecurity.
